Jurassic Park Glass Paperweight

I made this glass paperweight at Glass Axis, a glass working place near us. It was really cool because first we did a base glass in one colour and then we manipulated it however we wanted. I did a spiral kind of thing with mine, the glass colours being a mix of amber and a lighter yellow. Then, it was dipped back in molten glass and then I shaped it into the paperweight!

It was really cool, I'd done ceramics before, but never anything with glass and it was like nothing I'd ever done. The glass moved easily while still hot, and the shaping and working of it was just such a unique feeling!

By the way, it's a Jurassic Park paperweight because someone else there made one with really similar colours and they described theirs like that. Quite honestly, it was the only fitting description.
